Um, I'm officially pathetic.
A pathetically obsessed anthropologie lunatic. I literally just googled anthropologie blogs (do it now, you know you want to) and got lost in all things anthropologie. I'm talking seriously lost. I went into ruffled, lacey anthropologie land and completely forgot who I was, what my name is, and the fact that i just burned my so-called-husband's dinner. The fire trucks came and I saved my laptop so I could pick up right where I left of with my online shopping. Now do you see why i'm pathetic? I digress.
Alright, back to reality and on to my next series! Who's excited?? I know Charlie sure is. Should've seen his face when I walked up to him holding my camera with the smile. the i'm back at it again with a new blog series smile. poor guy...he's probably wondering, "what's in it for me?" well my hunky man, you get to watch your wife bask in her girly-ness. isn't that what you've always wanted out of life?
Over the last several months I've had a surprising amount of facebook messages (because that seems to be the way people talk to me about my blog) asking me about my workouts. I mention the gym so much that I've struck some sort of curious fever, I guess! I'm a huge jillian michaels fan, but I don't have her rigorous exercise experience. I do, however, have years of yo-yo exercising and a childhood that could've put me on the movie heavyweights. I started exercising at the ripe age of 12.. (dumbbells, treadmills, and braces. metal was aplenty) and continued to learn over the years about all things fitness.
i'm currently back in my exercise grind, 6 days a week, about 1.5-2 hours a day, going on 8 months now.
Love those endorphins...
okay so here's the deal. we all know i'm a fan of FB stalking. so let's take that and apply it to my blog. feel free to stalk my outfits to the gym for a week...and while you're at it, you can see what i'm doing, too.
Monday
today at the gym was awful.
i swear it was like "official gym day"
all of texas was there at 5pm.
i ended up having to pay off a guy so i could use his bench and some weights.
(protein shakes work every time, ladies).
cardio: 20 minutes on stair master, medium-high intensity. (usually i do about 45 minutes of interval running or stairs)
weights: 60 minutes of weight training. (i swear by weight lifting. it's changed my body!) today I worked only my back, (typically, i do multiple muscle groups for maximum calorie burn)
i won't bore you with the details, but my exercises were as follows.
lat pull downs
standing pull downs
seated rows
bentover barbell rows
bench pulls
reverse flys
and a few others i can't seem to remember :)
nike top: sports authority, $22
tennis skirt: academy, $8
shoes: sports authority, $69
No, i don't curl my hair and wear skirts to the gym for funsies.
my hair was already curled for the day and depending on when i shaved last (which isn't a favorite activity of mine), i might rock a tennis skirt a time or two.
i'm not one for t-shirts. i feel like i'm choking.
but i am one for matching.
there you have it.
You guys should work out with me this week and tell me about it! I would love it.
Katy
